Giving a jewellery workshop: a gift that's lived and kept

Some gifts are used and some are lived. A jewellery workshop is both: three hours of experience in an atelier and, at the end, a jewel the person made themselves, to keep forever. It's a gift idea that tends to surprise even people who "have everything".

Why it works as a gift

  • It's an experience, not an object. The memory of a different afternoon stays.
  • There's an object at the end. They leave with a jewel they made — and remember it every time they wear it.
  • It's personal. Nobody makes two identical pieces.
  • No talent required. The workshops are designed for people who've never worked metal.

Who it's for

Birthdays

For the friend who loves jewellery, the mother who loves crafts, the person who collects experiences.

Couples

A workshop for two, making pieces side by side — or one for each other. Great for anniversaries, Valentine's Day or simply an afternoon together.

Mothers, grandmothers, godmothers

An afternoon together, each making a piece. Some come as three generations.

Hen parties and groups of friends

Groups of up to 5, for something out of the ordinary.

Teams

For small teams wanting a creative activity away from the office. Get in touch to arrange the format.

Which workshop to give

If unsure, the voucher can be for an amount, and the recipient chooses the workshop.

How the gift voucher works

  1. Write to us through the contact page, choosing "Gift voucher" as the subject, and tell us the workshop or amount.
  2. We arrange payment and email the voucher, ready to print or forward.
  3. The recipient books the date they prefer, directly with us.

Tips for giving it well

  • Add a hint: a small drawing, a photo of filigree, a note saying "you're going to make your own jewel".
  • Give it for two: often the best option is to go with them.
  • Don't worry about dates: the recipient books whenever they like, so it works for busy diaries.
